In a very broad sense, parking is paid in the centre of Krakow. Paid parking zones in Krakow are divided into three categories. Paid parking zone is divided into subzone A, subzone B and subzone C. The most expensive parking is in zone A. One hour of parking in zone A costs 6 PLN (about 1,35 EUR). In zone B one hour of parking costs 5 PLN, and in zone C parking costs 4 PLN per hour.

It is worth remembering that the very centre of Krakow, i.e. the A1 zone, is an area which may be entered only by the owners of enterprises located in it and by residents, as well as by persons with appropriate permits and guests of hotels with parking spaces.

If your hotel of choice in the very centre of Krakow does not have its own parking spaces, entry into this zone (covering mainly the Market Square and the streets within Planty Park, but not only) may result in a fine from the police or municipal police as well as fitting a wheel lock.

Parking in Krakow’s pay zones is charged from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm. In all parking meters it is possible to pay using Polish zloty coins, and in some machines it is possible to make card payments using Pay Pass technology.

Free parking in Krakow is possible outside the designated zones, as well as within the paid parking zone only on public holidays and every Sunday.
