Where Are All the Bars in Krakow?

Krakow has become known to tourists as a city of endless parties in clubs, bars and pubs. Many tourists planning a trip to Krakow wonder where all these bars in Krakow are. Where to party in Krakow? Where are the clubs located? Let’s find out!

Krakow is a big city by Polish standards, but it is generally a small city and all the well-known clubs, restaurants, cafés and pubs are actually only found in two places.

Most venues are in the very centre of the Old Town district, i.e. in the streets directly adjacent to the Main Market Square. Most can be found in the streets. Sławkowska, Szewska, Floriańska or Grodzka and Szpitalna Streets.

The second place in Kraków where restaurants are found is in the centre of the former Jewish district known as Kazimierz, i.e. around two squares – Plac Nowy and Plac Wolnica and the streets leading up to them. Kazimierz in Krakow has fewer good restaurants, but there are cafés and several popular clubs, as well as popular stalls selling Polish cheap food known as „zapiekanki”. If you go to Kraków it is better not to try them here as they are not tasty.

There are far fewer restaurants and clubs in the other districts of Krakow. If we want to have fun in Krakow we have only two options: Old Town and Kazimierz.

Suburban districts like Podgórze and Nowa Huta are not the places where interesting events take place in pubs or clubs. There are also far fewer restaurants, especially those open in the evening or late into the night.
